Prague is the capital and largest city ofthe Czech Republic. Itisthe 15th largestcity in the European Union. Itisalsothehistoricalcapitalof Bohemia. Since 1992, theextensivehistoric centre of Prague has beenincluded in the UNESCO list of WorldHeritageSites.

The city boasts more than ten major museums, alongwithnumeroustheatres, galleries, cinemas, and otherhistoricalexhibits. Anextensivemodern public transportationsystemconnectsthe city. Also, itishome to a widerangeof public and privateschools, including Charles University in Prague, theoldest university in CentralEurope.

Prague isclassified as an “Alpha-” global city according to GaWC studies.Praguerankedsixth in the Tripadvisor world list ofbestdestinations in 2016. Itsrichhistorymakesit a populartouristdestination, and the city receives more than 6.4 millioninternationalvisitorsannually, as of 2014. Prague isthefifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome.
